No cybercast for SMU-Tech
If something doesn't happen on the internet, does it really happen?

I've been getting some questions about whether the SMU-Texas Tech will be webcast, since none of the CSTVs or ESPNUs of the world are airing it.

The answer is no, and the reason might surprise you: the Big 12 won't allow it. Seems counterproductive to limit the exposure for your programs, but I think it has something to do with avoiding conflicts with the Big 12's TV games. I've got a call into the league office, but with it being a Friday, the honchos are headed off to games right now.

There will be video of the game. Tech has a video screen and the Big 12 always has some sort of production crew for instant replay calls by the officials. If someone wants to watch a raw video feed while hunched over their laptop, why not let them?
