For those of you at the game.. like myself.. I was impressed with the quickness of James Mapps. We really need to work him in.. talk about catching a defense off-balance.. this guy is like a Quentin Griffin - short little speedster. Always hard for a Dline to pick up on him out of the backfield.

Do we ever run a 2 back set? I would love to see Martin and Mapps in the same back field, so the defense has to watch for the big guy up the middle or the small fast guy to the outside. NO CHEATING ALLOWED by the defense.

Rumor has it that two-back sets are part of the plan. Hope it comes to fruition.

We did run a two back set several times. I think Dorsey was in there in the two back.

Mapps also reminds me of Griffin with his explosiveness and quickness. I just hope Coach Bennett will let Mapps have more playing time against NTSU to show what he can do. I bet he averages more than 5 YPC if they will let him play alot and get a feel for the game.

And UNT's defense is nowhere near as fast as Tech's. That's not to say UNT has no talent on defense, but they damn-sure don't have as much speed.
