Sorry to say we suck!

It's a sad day... but we are one of the worst teams in recent memory to get beat like this against North Texas. Bennett must go tommorow. Let's start this whole thing over with someone new.

I am seriously considering taking a vacation day so I don't have to be made fun of by everyone in my office. I just recently relocated to Houston and my office is prolly 75% UT alums. This is nothing short of embarrassing. I will also be getting refunds on a couple plane tickets I purchased to come up to Dallas for games. Unfortunately I will be in the stands to watch SHSU kick our asses up and down the field, only bc I bought a non refundable ticket.

I'm sure glad we scheduled North Texas for a breather on the schedule this year. At least we kept their point total below 50.

Yes, even in Charleston SC Monday at the office will be humiliating. SMU has become the laughing stock of college football. Just think how bad it will be if SHSU hands our arses to us next week!!! It just might happen.

We will be back on the bottom 10 list again. I'm tired of being a football joke.

Can I get a refund on my season tickets? I can't bear to watch any more of the games.

Thank you Pye and all the wonderful professors who devised a way to ensure that this team would never be competitive again.

I don't know what to say. I'm speechless. I, too, am completely ashamed to show my face at work on Monday. I just may stay home, too. NOT because I ever brag about SMU...I never do. People just know that I have been an SMU diehard, that I travel to Dallas for games, etc. It has been a little bit of a joke for the last few years with my buds at work. But now, I won't even be able to mention my own f'n alma mater.

I can hear it now, "How 'bout them Ponies?" CRAP!

Fans at big time football programs all have traditions. At least we have our own now. We all take Monday's off from work bc we are so ashamed of our team. A couple more great traditions like that and it looks like we really are making headway on becoming a top football program!

This is humiliating

It's been 18 long years since we fielded the walk-on team in 1989. I am starting to think our team the first year back from the DP could have kept the score closer against Texas Tech last week and North Texas tonight.

This is humiliating. I have been telling all my friends that this is the year we get to a bowl game. I bragged that we could be 3-1 by the end of September. This is unbelievable. I am still coming up for the home opener, but you have to wonder what the hell our players are thinking on the field. Maybe they are not thinking and that's why we only scored 6 points against the Mean Green.

You know what else sucks on top of being derided for having a favorite team that is a perpetual loser? It is having a favorite team that is a perpetual loser that happens to be nicknamed "THE PONIES."

It just adds to the humiliation when I get asked, "How 'bout them Poooonies?"

Perhaps Orsini should make a new AD rule that says NO USE OF THE TERM "PONIES" UNTIL WE HAVE A WINNING TEAM.

Can't the NCAA just look the other way for two years and let us get to square one like everyone else? After two years and some decent talent, we'll behave just like we have been for the past 18 years.

The truth is, two years of illegal recruiting would do nothing. SMU would find a way to screw it up I am sure.
