I'm flying in from North Carolina. Just kidding. I now almost dread even listening next week. Hell, Sam Houston beat the Division ????Boll Weevils of Arkansas Monticello today 41-3. I figure by next week's game time, we'll be a touchdown underdog. I'm almost serious.
A BITTER, BITTER NIGHT. AND IT MAY GET WORSE.

If able, I will be there. I love my school and I love my team. Am I happy about the current situation, NO. But I am am SMU fan first. Coaches, scores, and even players come after that. If you only attended the games because of Bennett, and if you are now not going because of Bennett, be sure and follow him to where ever he goes if he leaves since that would be the only reason you were following the Ponies. I hope I can make it and I hope we win
We will be there

I live in Atlanta and have 4 season football tickets. We have a big tailgate every year on The Boulevard for the home opener where most of us fly in for the game. The UNT debacle takes the buzz off of the game, but we always have a great time on The Boulevard. I will also be back for the Houston game so I hope things have improved by then.
Kick 'Em!

I'm a student, and I'm not going to any more SMU football games. I'll go watch soccer instead.

Unfortunately, I don't think you're in the minority. Don't forget Basketball!!

I am now in the JT camp. I will be there for the boulevard. Can't say that I will make it in the gate.

Then do not refer to yourself as an SMU fan. JT goes to the games, he just holds no idealistic preconceived notions.

I will be there with 5 friends. Can't stop supporting the team just because we can't win. I just like being on campus and seeing everything that goes along with it on game day. If I were still a student I would still be out there at the game, NO QUESTION ABOUT IT. Afterall I was one of the 5,000 fans that made it out in the rain to see the SMU-Rice game in the Cotton Bowl in 1975 post NCAA sanctions attributed to that former idiot coach Smith. If I could make it to that game (which was a great time especially watching a drunk Roy Bailey jumping up and down in the rain), I can make it to this one.
In MY opinion, true fans will get over the two losses and still show up for the game. The program will not be helped by fan apathy. Orsini knows he has a problem and will make the changes necessary to get the program back on its feet. I don't think threats of no show for future games or cutting out Mustang Club dues will be of help in turning the program around. Have faith in our new AD. He has set the tone by DEMANDING that all athletic programs be top 25. He already has shown that he will not tolerate mediocrity and will make the changes required to try and get a winner by some of the changes that he has made since taking charge.

I've been to games in Stillwater, Houston, College Station, Denton and every home game since I was a freshman.

I will be there. I've been following the ponies now for over 55 years..stuck with them thru thick and thin..and while I am totally dismayed with Bennett's coaching ability (Does it even exist?..remember his going for TWO in the Tulsa gane that allowed Tulsa to tie us and force us into overtime???!!!) I still support the team. HOpefully our new athletic director will find the fit in coaching we have been missing since the death penalty.
See you on the Blvd. Mrydel!
