Idea for FOOTBALL OFFICE, marketing department

Michael Vick recorded a message that was left on the answering machines of Atlanta Falcons season ticket holders this week, reminding the fans of how much they can help their team and imploring them to come out and support the Falcons loudly and enthusiastically.

With one game left, why not have Coach Bennett record a similar message - or at least write a heartfelt letter - asking the student body to come out for the season finale against Tulsa, to BE THERE EARLY and to STAY UNTIL THE VERY END, cheering loudly and enthusiastically so the Ponies can end their season with a two-game winning streak and head into recruiting season with positive vibes?

The message should be delivered MONDAY to fraternities and sororities (since they mostly hold chapter meetings on Monday evenings) and also delivered to residence halls and other student organizations. Putting such a message here or on the other board would be nice, but largely unnecessary, since the people who visit these boards are somewhat fanatic and will be at the game, anyway. But going an extra mile to round up the university's student body for the final game of the year might be just what it takes to ensure a win and help send the seniors off on a positive note.

When Lou Holtz came to USC, he faced an 0-11 season...that winter he visited every fraternity, sorority, residence hall, ate in numerous dining halls all to up student spirit...

Any of y'all close to Coach should have him do the same, but also do it with University Park and Highland Park merchants, high schools etc...

Do a campus blitz, maybe a talk with Coach at Basketball Games, where he will sit at a table and talk to students before and after basketball games...

Coach Bennet has made fraternities rounds to introduce himself to the various houses. Coach Dement does as well and there is a happy hour on wednesday at Ozonas starting at 5:30pm where Coach Dement and Rompola will be chatting with people.

Does that happy hour take place every Wednesday?

Sorry. The happy hour is on thursday, not wednesday. My apologies.

I don't believe it is a weekly occurence.
