This is to give us something different to look since we're all grinding and gnashing our teeth against the UNT greenskeepers. I saw Stafford play against Wylie last year, and we all know what he did for the Scots.

I wish him lots of luck.

Georgia quarterback Joe Tereshinski III, who started the No. 10 Bulldogs' first two games, has a high right ankle sprain and will miss four to six weeks and won't be available in the team's next three games, coach Mark Richt said Sunday.

Tereshinski's injury means highly regarded freshman Matthew Stafford, from Highland Park, Texas, will start at quarterback, beginning with Saturday's game against Alabama-Birmingham at Sanford Stadium.

"I don't think anyone's established themselves as a solid number one," Richt told The Associated Press. "I do think we've got more than one good answer. And hopefully one guy will settle this thing and we'll move on from there."

Stafford, who enrolled at Georgia in January and competed with Tereshinski and two other quarterbacks for the starting job, took over when Tereshinski was hurt in the first quarter in Saturday night's 18-0 win at South Carolina.

Stafford completed 8 of 19 passes for 171 yards and threw three interceptions. Redshirt freshman Joe Cox will be Georgia's backup quarterback.
