Yet they can't reinstate Rhett Bomar to play at SHSU in time for Southland Conference play. :roll:

If Bomar promises to pass like he did against FW Tech (last year), I'd let him play this week!

Difference is UT reinstated Brown, the NCAA must reinstate Bomar. I'm sure the checklist for reinstatement by UT is a bit smaller than the one for the NCAA.

Reinstatement by UT goes something like this:

Mack Brown: Are you sorry you did it?

Player: Yes sir.

Mack Brown: Welcome back.

Oh, there's no doubt about that. The NCAA can't unlock its doors in the morning without calling for a Congressional hearing. That notwithstanding, it's a shame when a guy who took an illegal handout sits and watches while a guy caught with drugs and a gun gets to play and impress pro scouts.
