Where the hell was that team last week?!?!
Totally different team IMO out there this week than last week. FINALLY the offense gave Willis the power to throw down field and MAN! Did he do well tonight or what?!
Still, obviously, we have somethings to work on and this next upcoming week against Arkansas State will tell us a little more but man we looked good tonight.
That, ladies and gents, was the team I was expecting against North Texas.
Hopefully they can keep it up and keep playing like that. BTW, nice crowd out tonight. Was surprised there was that many people there after losing to North Texas..especially from the student section.

35,
I have been asking myself that question as well. But before we get too excited, let's keep the huge win in perspective. First, it was our home opener. Second, it was against a I-AA school. Third, and perhaps most important, it was a critical game for Coach Bennett. Like most of the fans, I think the team personally likes Bennett and wants him to succeed. With their backs against the wall, the team rose to the occasion.

The coaches made the calles that put the players in position to do their job.
That is the difference.

I agree with BUS entirely. It wasn't the team that was different it was the play calling. I can understand the "let's limit our young QB's potentital for mistakes in his fist college game at a hostile environment" mentality - when we did it at Texas Tech. But to come in with that same gameplan against UNT? Ridiculous! (Though I thought at the time, that it was a bad move against Tech - come out with the offense that you are going to run all season, and let him make mistakes.)
Granted this game *was* against a 1AA team - but we need to continue with this wide open down field mentality. It's who we are/supposed to be under Rusty Burns. Play every week to WIN not to limit mistakes and not lose.
Let's keep it up boys.

If we don't... We will lose.
The one that scores the most points - WINS

I'm hoping you guys do pass against us.

We have some outstanding d-backs. I predicted 3 int's against OSU, and got 'em.
Should be a good game. Hopefully, we'll shake off some 'roadtrip blues' of the past and give your team a game.

I think we all fully expect a game. We are just hopeful our team shakes the "20 years of losing blues" enough to pull this one out.
