Congratulation on the Win and Good Luck!

I just wanted to congratulate the Mustangs on the win last night.

I was very impressed with the size and overall athleticism of your team and kind of left the stadium scratching my head as to how you were 0-2 coming into that game. Particularly against UNT since we used to own them when they were in the Southland.

I also wanted to say you folks have one of the most beautiful stadiums I have ever been in. I hope with the fans we brought we will have future opportunities to play SMU on future schedules. Your University campus was beautiful as my family of 5 toured it. I have never been to Harvard or an Ivy League school but your school made me feel like that is what it would be like.

Lastly, not to sound overly complimentary here, but I really liked the prayer before the game started. That's the right way to do it and is what made this country great "One Nation Under God". You can also tell the people in the yellow stadium vests they were extremely helpful and courteous all night. Just a very pleasant experience (except for the game and final score) and very nice people.

Thanks for the privilege of letting us come up and play you guys, It was a great trip for myself, my wife and our family of 3 kids.

Good Luck to the Mustangs for the rest of the season!

Go Kats!

Thanks -- very nice thoughts, Kats.

Your fans were great visitors, and I wish you the best of luck the rest of the season. Beat Texas in two weeks, and I'll sing your praises to every UT fan I know.

I was impressed that your fans stayed until the end. Good job.

Hang in there when you guys go to Austin. We'll be thinking of you.

By the way, any word on when they think Bomar will be eligible?

Odds are that Bomar will not be eligible this season. The NCAA loves to drag their a** on these kinds of things.

Maybe, just maybe, what's taking so long is getting the crane to pick up the book they are gonna throw at him.

Actually,

I heard through a contact at our AD that they think they will hear something from the NCAA in Week 5 (for us that is the week after our game with UT) and right before our Southland Conference play starts.

The thoughts are that the NCAA will suspend him for 4 games but that will be grandfathered back to games served from the beginning of the season. That would hopefully make him eligible for our first conference game at Northwestern State which will be televised on Fox Sports Net at 7:00 P.M. on Saturday October 7th.

For what it's worth though, this is the NCAA we are talking about here and they can change their timetable and length of penalty duration at any time, so we'll see?

Yall still have prayers before a game? Wow....I wish we did.
It seems that we have yielded to the politically correct crowd on that one. Glad to hear someone still 'gets it'.

Probably has something to do with being a 'private university' and the Methodist connection. ;)
