I hope everyone will at least make an attempt to invite someone to the game today, the "Vard is a great selling point! Don't let tickets go unused!

Don't let tickets go unused? How about don't let tickets go unsold. You would think that SMU might like to run a special to clear out the 20,000 unsold tickets for today. How about tickets as low as $1. Sell 5,000 at a $1, 5,000 for $3, and 5,000 for $5. An unused ticket does not buy a drink, a hotdog, or a t-shirt. Also, all those new fans might actually come back to another game in the fuuture.

One of the key's to making a new SMU fan (until the product on the field improves) is the "Vard. The fallas at Special Delivery lure them there with the promise of camaraderie, a beautiful setting, great eye candy, free food, (out of our pocket) making sure they feel welcome, try and dispell the snotty SMU image, introduce them to as many people as possible, try and provide free tickets when possible, tell them about a few key players on the team etc...etc....We have had some success with these methods.

When did we start calling it "the "Vard"?

Be careful of the Pony Police that will throw you into the Pony Prison for not turning the unused tickets into the ticket office for sale resale.

I will have NINE extra tickets!!! Some of the girls' friends were unable to attend today's game. I will stop by the Special Delivery tailgate to see if anyone wants them.

I know. I was just in a hurry and I guess feeling rather generous after last week. Not a bad use of $45.

Seriously though.. buy tickets! I mean I get them free when I need to, but that's 'cause I have been a starving artist. This year, I'm doing "okay" financially so I bought season tickets, because you know what? I want to put my money where my mouth is... so don't feel bad about buying extra tickets - just do it.
