Did he just say 9 TD passes in 35 attempts? I don't care who we are playing...that's impressive.

He didn't do anything in the 2nd half.. the 3rd quarter was pathetic actually until Mapps and our D finished things off.

Especially for someone who spent the week tossing his lunch. He's playing extremely smart football. We've had QBs with stronger arms, but Willis makes his reads extremely quickly and gets rid of the ball fast, allowing him to lay it in there with great touch. Fantastic to watch.

Willis is already the first SMU QB to throw for at least 10 TDs since 1999. He is just getting better and better. 10 tds/2 ints sure isn't a bad ratio...especially with what we are used to

Yep. It's nice having a real quarterback play for us. He's really going to improve over time. Scary thought.

Looked this up: with one more touchdown pass, Willis will be tied for the seventh-highest single-season total of touchdown passes in SMU history.
Not an earth-shattering accomplishmennt, until you consider the names of the QBs with whom he'll be tied: Josh McCown (1999), Ramon Flanigan (1996), Lance McIlhenney (1983), Mike Ford (1977) and some guy named Don Meredith (1959).
Pretty nice company.
Can't wait to see what Willis can do when he adjusts to the speed of the college game!

With Willis leading this offense for a few more years, emmanuel/columbus still developing, and Mapps/DeMyron at RB, our Offense could be very very good in the coming seasons.

Don't forget about Philip Burley. He will be a monster WR.
