Anyone else think perhaps...

As another poster mentioned earlier this week, perhaps the UNT debacle did for SMU's season what the SMU game did for TCU a year ago?

Time will tell, but man...talk about a tale of two seasons from Lubbock to now. Yes the competition is different, but so is the sense of urgency.

yep, but with caution

Maybe it took UNT to shock PB into an open offense

Rarely does any good come from a degrading loss like SMU suffered at UNT. The difference now is so dramatic that I can't believe it is the same team. However this happened, it's about time.

Who's with me in the insatiable desire to get UNT in a bowl game? Doesn't matter which bowl game, but I'd be there. To say we'd even the score is an understatement.

Let's see how we do on the road against Tulane before we fire up any bowl talk.

I'm not saying we're bowl-bound - just that I'd like another crack at UNT, and I'd feel damn good about our chances.

NTS WILL NOT GO TO A BOWL, THEY ARE TERRIBLE. They blew their wad, and won their Super Bowl on 9-9-6.

I said that NTSU happening was probably the same for us as us beating tcu last year. I think somebody else mentioned it as well. I really hope that is the case. While I have strong doubts of that being the case, it could be true. I think NTSU woke our players and coaches up.

We'll see how we do in Nawlins. I'm sure Tulane would love to win their first game in the "new" Superdome. SMU definitely needs to win a game on the road and start off CUSA play with a win. Should be a great game.
