REQUEST/PLEA for ESPN2 Tuesday Night Game

Just for this game:
If all the people that sit in the boxes and the "seats behind the glass" would sit in the stands for JUST ONE GAME, the attendance would look so much better on TV.
Come on down, y'all, it's not that bad, in fact it is GREAT, it is what college football should be, not padded seats, & air conditioning.
Get out where the TEAM can hear you, let them know you are there, and when we fill the stands with returning fans and new fans, then you can go back to your comfy seats, and the rest of us will keep cheering on the TEAM !!!!

Good point red&blue, it looked like there was a fair ammount of people in the box last night. I've been in one of those before and I didn't like it at all. You don't contribute to the crowd noise at all and it feels kinda like watching the game at home. If you have seats in the box i bet you could easily have seats 3 or 4 rows up on the 50

I will do it. Flying up from Austin just for this game and then right back. Butts in seats would play nice on national television

Especially when we WIN.
I'm going to be in town all week, so you can bet I'll be there.

How do you think it would look on TV if all of those luxury suites were empty? Probably better if we filled the grandstand seats another way ??

Paladin,
You can't see inside those suites from INSIDE the stadium, much less on TV. I would bet the TV camera won't be panning the suites, but the stadium sits WILL show up, just when they are covering the game.
Why be negative? I'm just trying to suggest something that will show that we even have 12,000 in the stadium. The way it is now, the stadium looks like we only have 6,000.
Come up with a better idea, at least I had one.

Won't be able to make the game.... but i think everybody should wear either red or blue.... kind of like the Heat do for basetball games... maybe have some company sponsor it and pass out red t-shirts to everyoone walking into the stadium who doesn't already have one on!!!

Suggestion (s):
Engineering Dept short out the elevators an hour before the game.....
Or, NO brie allowed rule in the boxes on ESPN nites.

Oops ! Sorry; I didn't mean to be an Elton John....the only practical way I could suggest to increase attendance would be for each Season Ticket holder to invite one or two extra folks over to the game with them. Of course this is easier to do when the Mustangs are winning, but I've done my part this season....

I will go one step further; everybody needs to sit on the East side of the Stadium that night. Not just outside, but on the East side. The main cameras are in the press box.

This is a GREAT idea:
"the only practical way I could suggest to increase attendance would be for each Season Ticket holder to invite one or two extra folks over to the game with them."
We brought 3 additional teenagers last week, which is where this thing gets started, take 'em when they are young, and they will have a comfortable, warm spot for SMU later in their life. I think we are making progress, they had a great time, and happened to run into lots of kids from their school, that they didn't expect to be there, so the interest and excitement is growing, baby steps.

Its Halloween. Lets all dress as an empty seat and then the stadium will look totally empty but the announcers will explain we are all disguised as empty seats and the viewers will assume its a sellout.

You are right about the atmosphere in the Club. I wish they would (could) open the bottom glass about six feet or so. Especially on nights where the temps. are mild. Going down to the stands makes sense and is a far better college experience.
