This guy is a threat EVERY time he touches the ball. I sure wish we could figure out a way to get the ball to him in other situations besides kickoff returns. Maybe an end-around or screen pass or two each game? 8)

He set up as a back in the Tulane game, and ran out wide, barely got past the line of scrimmage. Might be more effective if he lines up weakside, and runs around to strongside in hope the WRs have pulled defenders away.

BTW I checked NCAA Statistics and actually Henderson is 12th in the country but everyone above him has 4 or less attempt-not sure how many are required to be officially crowned number 1.

I still stand by what I said earlier.

If SMU is able to make it to a bowl this year...it will be because of that kick return to the endzone. Unbelieveable. Thank God he's a Mustang.

He needs more than one or two touches a game. Dickerson used to carry the ball 20-25 times a game. Usually he was boxed up for little or no yardage because the other team would put 8 or 9 men in the box knowing that we never threw the ball. However, nearly every game Eric would break a couple that went all the way despite the stacked defense. Those big runs made his rushing totals soar. Henderson can score anytime he touches the ball if his blockers can give him just a little crease. Giving him the ball only once or twice a game isn't enough touches for a guy with this type of potential.

Didn't make the highlight reel on any sports programs that I watched over the weekend. Pathetic.
