After our win at Tulane, I see:

--> The Ponies with a winning record.
--> The Ponies are 1-0 in C-USA games.
--> We didn't play particularly well, overall, and got a road conference win.
--> Justin Willis didn't throw particularly well, but managed the game and the offense beautifully. He seems to be a winner, albeit one who is still learning (obviously). There's a chance -- at this point, admittedly, it's only a chance -- that he could turn out to be very good. He must drive pass rushers insane trying to chase him.
--> DeMyron Martin could come back this week.
--> The defensive line played by far its best game of the year.
--> Tony Hawkins looked like a linebacker last night, instead of a guy learning to play linebacker.
--> Was it just me, or did anyone else think Randall Goode was all over the place?
--> Jessie Henderson is pretty damn fast. If I'm the other coach, I'm ordering every kickoff to go out of bounds INTENTIONALLY. The penalty might sting, but it sure beats giving No. 9 the ball.
--> Glad to see the ball go to Ryan Kennedy. Now do it more often.
--> Blake Warren is one of the toughest little guys we've had in years. Can't wait to see him break the alltime punt return records. He deserves it.
--> Based on the replays on TV, at least three of the penalties on the offensive line (including two on Ben Poynter) were complete crap calls.
--> Thomas Morstead dumped a returner out of bounds with a throat-high tackle, and Kellis Cunningham had a couple of nice tackles on kickoffs. Seriously, have we ever had two kickers who (A) can tackle, (B) are willing to get in there and hit and (C) actually get the job done? Nice job, guys!
