Did any of you folks catch that pilot? It was pretty freaking fantastic... I think this could be a decent show. Thoughts?

If you guys want to catch they are doing a repeat tomorrow night.

Mack Brown: "You don't have to have a great quarterback to win a championship. That's been proven."

I liked how at the end the guy threw a pass his WR caught at the 30 and there was NO ONE around him. You would think the other team would be, I don't know, not letting a wideout get behind them on the last play of the game.

I liked the show. Disclaimer: I may be one of the last 3 people on earth who have not read the book or seen the movie, but plan on doing one or both before too long. I think the score of the Jesuit - Odessa Permian game when I was at Jesuit was 66-3, and we had a decent team. Those guys were good.

Hey Thad,

The actor playing the injured quarterback's Dad is a full time employee of Special Delivery.

Of course if the show is a "hit" he probably won't be for long.

Ask him to sneak in an SMU reference somewhere.

I am sure if we are referenced it would be something about the death penalty. Not sure I would welcome that exposure. Maybe just get him to wear an SMU sweatshirt.

Let's see: his QB son suffers a paralyzing spinal injury in the premiere episode. He was being recruited by Notre Dame prior to that and being touted as the #1 prospect in the nation. I don't know what the writers have in mind for the QB or his family but it sounds like they may no longer be a part of the show.

Naughty, maybe he can help score a job on the show... Honestly though, I think it ihgt be time for me to get back into that line of work full time (rather than just in the evenings).

The QB is also named 'Street'....did anyone else think of former U.T. QB James Street (Longview High School) when they heard the name on the show?

My uncle is the head prop guy for the show...he lives in Round Rock.

does he need an assistant? (I'm looking for every angle here folks.)

But all of this goes against my stance since the beginning get to Austin, finish this film, and don't start anywhere on the ground floor.
