Not to keep bringing it up, but we lost to UNT, and have only beaten ASU and Tulane. We should be happy with the ranking we have.

Yes that is very true....when playing in a NON BCS conference and losing to UNT and beating up on a I AA team does not give us any helpings in the SI rankings.
BAYLOR plays in the BIG XII and UNC Plays in the ACC. We play in CUSA...therefore thats more unfair prejudice when it comes to ranking teams.

You can make the point that UNC playing in the ACC is tough, but the
point is that they have one win against a 1AA school (45-42 over Furman).
Also if you want to get picky, Baylor was beaten 27-20 by Army who was plastered by Rice.
That said I think both schools should be ranked higher than us at the moment, but lets be rational in our reasons. Just because the team is in a BCS conference doesn't automatically make the team better than us. I would bet my lunch money on SMU versus Duke at the moment...

We get no respect from the national media. But, then again, why should they give us coverage when our local coverage is abysmal?

Golly Gee, we don't deserve much higher, if any.
We have not beat anyone good, or even kind of good, much less real good. ( Last years win over TCU counts as real good but close to kind of good )
Let's keep our head down and work hard and pull off three or four more wins. THEN let's look for some support.
First get the job done. Then look up and see if we have any more respect.
Live the Mustangs
Go Players
Go Coaches
Go Mustangs

Fifty or so consecutive days of SMU coverage, give or take a couple, yeah, that's abysmal.
