Hey folks -
If any Austin area Pony Fans (or San AntoniPonies for that matter) want to get together to watch the Stangs play the Miners on Saturday night, this serves as an official invitation to my place for the Official Unofficial Austin Area PonyFans watching party. Of course you'll have to "deal" with LonghornFan68 and future Mrs. LonghornFan68, plus whatever stragglers are left over from the Texas OU game. I'll be jacking the laptop into the TV for the full on non-HD experience.
There *may* be left over BBQ from the UT OU game... and there may be left over beer. But who knows? So bring something... it's more of a BYO_____.
Let me know if you want to come over... I'll PM you with directions. If you want to come over earlier than the game and make a day of it, let me know.... Beyond that Red River game in the afternoon and the Ponies game at night we'll be paying attention to the Bowling Green v. Ohio State game, as we will have a BGSU grad in our midst, the A&M Kansas game, as there will be an Aggie in attendance, all those great SEC matchups, becuase they are yummy, the Cards playoff game, as my fam hails from St. Louis, and the Dallas Stars game, becuase it's hockey, baby.
So as you can see there really isn't much on the schedule.
Go Ponies... and if you can make it, please do. I'd love to meet some of the "locals". Game time is 8pm. We are officially the lates NCAA (1A) game this Saturday. Love it.

What's the typical age of those attending so far? I think I'd be pretty young for the party, but just thought I'd ask. I'm class of '06.

You are younger but your maturity level will probably exceed the others combined.

Very good question.. would love to know HOW you're watching it?

It is on UTEP Video, and I think Thad has mentioned before that he hooks his computer up to the television.

fyi.. did the UTEP video 2 years ago.. HORRIBLE HORRBILE QUALITY.. not worth your money. You're better off just going with audio..

I did it 2 years ago also, and the quality was as good as I get for SMU home games. I signed up yesterday and they have a test screen for you to check before you register and the test broadcast was very clear. Maybe 2 years ago you were watching in Spanish rather than English.

Hey no worries about the youth movement thing... as for ponyfans folks so far we have two maybes (including you), you guys are definitely at opposite ends of the whole age thing.... (and AusTxPony... I'm not calling you old .)
Seeing as your coming from San Antone (if you do come) - you're welcome to sack out on our couch if you don't want to head back to SA that night.

I heard a comedy group reenacting the Foley transcripts and that guy is strange.
