He did answer on question about SMU. He was asked what he thought of his Ponies being 3-2 and he said that he thought there was no reason they should not win Conference USA this year

maybe C.J. is using reverse psychology to help the ponies out...but i doubt he even knows what that means...

I don't think any of you actually believe that CJ doesn't love his alma mater and wish nothing but success for us..

Maybe he's not always saying what we want to hear, but I'm always proud just to hear him mention SMU as much as he does on national television. I hear those three beautiful letters and anything else he says just goes in one ear and out the other anyway.

ARE YOU DUMB???

He bashes SMU, his former school, and you say you just love hearing the letters: S, M, U...???

You must not be a student, alum, or staff if you are accepting the fact that James bashed up with a winning record on national tv.

Well gosh JT, I guess if I only attended SMU for 2 years then I must posess nothing more than a caveman brain. On the other hand, I'm sure yours is at least on par with Thoreau..

I don't see him bashing SMU to bash SMU.. he's frustrated, as many diehard fans have been and/or still are. I don't know the man.. but I can still form opinions with the facts I have, even with my apparently diminished brain function.

Let's not resort to name-calling.. but if you must, take it to the UTEP board.

I understand frustration but comparing me to Henry David is a little bit sarcastic.

James should have never said that we are at the bottom of college football, and in my right mind, that is not frustration when SMU was 2-2 at the time when he said that.

I'm sure the players have some idea of what James said on the National Telecast and im sure they are out to prove him wrong.

Colorado is at the bottom of CFB, we are not.

If you read my post on the other CJ is an ar$e board, I said that if he couldn't find anything nice to say then he shouldn't say anything at all. Maybe he was reminded that his mother taught him that too and decided that he did have something nice to say.

Craig James is no different from what is now the average SMU student/recent alumni. Any time the subject of SMU football comes up, you hear "too bad we suck" "smu football sucks" "we'll never be good" "we should start paying players again". To hear "well at least _______ isn't as bad as SMU is!" would not be unexpected. The only difference between this and CJ is that CJ had a TV audiance. But I suspect that if you were on TV every week it wouldn't be much different in your head than making the same comment to people in your office.

They are all pathetic, defeatist scum, but that doesn't mean they hate SMU.

There's that vaunted SMU school spirit again!
