Can someone again please explain to me what a Grayshirt is? What players were listed as Grayshirts last season?

SFAIK, a grayshirt - and I hope greenshirt to repeat the term I used below - is a player who is held out of competition one year and who does not earn playing time the next, i.e., too far down the depth chart and not on any special team.
