The Ponies Grew Up Today,

This has been about the worst set of circumstances that can have been thrown at us in the last 48 hours, but we almost pulled it out. I have no doubt that if Slater could have had another half of football, we would have won..BUT..

This is the real world, we didnt, we lost, we will deal with it.

I take no pride in losing, but I give Props to the team and the coaches. Damn, they tried to overcome all the obstacles, and PB, God Bless him, was not conservative, fake punts , end zone throws on 4 and 1, going for 4 and 1 at the end of the game.

I see good things from here on out.

We are 3 and 3 and I see us winning at least 4 more and going to a bowl.

Mark it down!

Go Ponies!

could not agree more

In years gone by (since the death penalty) SMU would have simply folded and gotten blown out. I do not normally support moral victories, but if there is ever a time to do so, it is today.

Couldn't agree more -- the Ponies showed a TON of heart last night. It would have been so easy to quit in last night's game, but the Ponies played like champions. New and unprepared starting QB ... Rogers leaves in an ambulance ... Muse hurts his knee ... Martin's first game back after dislocating a bone in his foot ... slick conditions (at times, or at least that's what it sounded like) ... What did Coach Bennett say at halftime?

To the Ponies' players and coaches: Thanks for standing strong and fighting for SMU. You didn't win, but you made us all proud.

Now go BEAT THE HELL OUT OF MARSHALL!

Unlike previous years, this team fought back & took UTEP to the wire despite the adversity.

Marshall must pay!!!!!!!!!!!!

whatever PB said. he should say at the beginning of the game in the locker room..so we start out swinging... I was so down at half but then watching the game on espn and listening to it on the radio..it was an experience..if only i could have been there to see the nailbiter....and if more of SMU, or the band were there might have help...to fight the 50k+ fans of the b-miners..

I think that are 3 wins were great BUT I think that we have not played a complete, perfect game for 60 mins. Sure you can say that we played great all game against stAte or SHSU but I have not seen this team play their hearts out for 4 straight quarters.

Enough of this give it your best in the second half when your down crap, Its the midpoint of the season and its about damn time they play a complete game.

They hopefully will do that against the Thundering Herd.

i agree... there are times where the team gets relaxed..it almost cost them in the superdome..
