I've got a bad feeling about this...

This whole situation with Justin is making me sick to my stomach. Literally. I couldn't sleep last night. I tossed & turned in bed for at least two hours thinking about what this young man is going through right now. A very talented young man who chose to attend SMU and play football. And now, because of another person's selfishness, he's suffering. My fear is that Justin will say 'To hell with this!' and transfer to another school (Bomar & Willis at SHSU?

) because the administration & coaches will not come to his defense in a situation that has been building to this boiling point for what appears to be a very long time. I hope I'm wrong...but I've got a bad feeling about this.

Why are people blowing this out of porportion and thinking that Willis will transfer? There is no word anywhere saying that he will transfer...He missed one game...I'm sure the AD and PB will stand behind him...and if he needs help some on this board should help provide Legal help.

We are all just thinking about the possible outcomes of this whole situation

If I remember correctly (there have been so many post on this subject who can keep track), I believe bigdaddy08091 implied that Justin wanted to leave because of a lack of trust or confidence in those in authority,i.e., PB, AD, etc. Now whether or not this is true or just bigdaddy08091's take on the situation...who knows.

As I mentioned on another thread--I've heard outside of this board that this incident has made it all the way up to Turner's office, and that there is some discussion that Willis could be kicked out of school. Keep in mind, this is completely unsubstantiated, although I did hear it from someone I trust. Anyone else heard anything about this?

Turner was involved last weekend. This hasn't just gotten up to him.
He is an avid football team supporter and for Orsini to leave him in the dark in any aspect of athletic's PR would be stupid...especially for a new AD.

"last weekend" meaning a week before this incident happened or "last weekend" meaning when the fight happened?

Thanks, but, my question was more geared to the issue of whether Willis could get kicked out of SMU. Please tell me that this will all blow over and Willis will be starting against Marshall. Please.

I suppose it is conceivable that he could be expelled. Relevant portions which may apply to both parties are in sections 2.09, 2.11, 3.03, 3.14(a) and (b), 3.18. May be some others I missed as well.

Expulsion from SMU for getting in a fight?

Half the fraternities on campus would fold if that were the case.
jt, thanks for your post on the parts of the Student Code.
After reading those, wouldn't the person who is alleged to have been stalking/harrassing Willis be in violation, too?

you sound like President Hoover in Animal House-"Half the Frats didn't make grades last semester... ". I didn't know you were so close to the SMU Fraternity scene. I shall alert the proper authorities.

Take those blinders off, Stallion. You know as well as I that fights occur between members of fraternities, both within their own chapter and with other chapters. I'm a member of a fraternity and it was not uncommon. Sound the alarm.
