Dear Mr. Willis,
Your son's reputation has not been hurt one bit in the eyes of any PonyFan or in the Dallas Community.
If the facts stand and he was simply protecting himself, no self-respecting male would have any problem with this.
WE LOVE YOUR SON and hopes he can make SMU the program it once was.
His loss would be devastating to us!!!!!!
Loyal Mustang Supporter,
DBB

But in a hetero, male-bonding kind of way only. Not that there's anything wrong with anything else.
BTW, does anybody know how and/or why this guy was running in the same circles as the football team?

Dear Mr. Willis,
You son is looked up to as a savior at this campus. He will lead us to our first bowl game since God knows when and he will revive SMU football to what it use to be, a force to reckon with.
WE ALL LOVE YOUR SON AT THIS CAMPUS. (not in a homosexual way)
Please do the right thing and let your son finish at this school and lead us to national promenance in football.
Best Wishes,
J.T.supporta

Dear Mr. Samuel Willis, Assuming all the facts were stated in the DMN article this morning concerning Justin's situation, I have expressed to the University that I think Justin should be reinstated to the Football team and this situation should be handled off the field by the University. Let me also say,as a fan, how much Justin means to all of the Mustang fans and how we look forward to him leading us to several conference Championships over the next several years.

But I believe he is the brother of two former SMU players.

If he is the brother of two former players, I am sure the two brothers know what Willis means to SMU. No doubt they will stick by their brother first, but they must have some love for SMU as well.

Beard is from Waxachie, were those two "brothers" of his from that same town?

Yes, at least the second SMU Beard footballer was from Waxahachie. Don't remember about the one who graduated in the early 90's.
