Willis is a fine young individual. That piece was pretty good with exception to what Beard had said and what was done to him.
Can we get that clip on this forum so we can see it again.

Willis looked good and sounded in good spirit. Rough situation for him.
Didn't like the sound of how Beard looked now, but there is much we don't know about the night.
Sadly, didn't sound like the morning meeting between the J-Will, his father, Orsini and Bennett produced any resolutions

A bit ironic that the Ch. 8 "bus tour's" first stop was in Denton, hometown of SMU's Justin Willis.

Uh, did anyone think to tell him NOT to play playstation while giving an interview? I'm a huge fan of JW and where he can take us, but someone should give him some advice on public relations.
hell, he shouldn't need advice on this. turn off the nintendo, turn off the TV, and look into the camera when they're giving you on air TV time - it's not like it comes often - don't blow it off or act like a 12 year old.
is the NCAA 2007 video game THAT important that it can't wait 5 minutes? doubt it - unless he's practicing for a bowl like NASCAR drivers play video games to practice tracks. doubt that though.

I was thinking that the news people wanted him to play that. I don't know. They sometimes do weird things like that.

I thought I read somewhere that last year Willis edited the SMU playbook in NCAA football 2006 with all of SMU's plays to get accustomed to the playbook. Maybe he was trying to break a mental sweat?!!?!

The playing of the PS2 was to show everyone watching that willis is a typical college kid.
Its what the news does for good stories.

I don't usually either...especially if I'm playing against somebody online. I'll use a modified SMU playbook, but its hard to win with the actual SMU team sometimes.
