This supports my opinion that the faculty is really behind the foot dragging that is going on. They have always disliked football and are the primary reason that marginal recruits have such difficulty getting accepted by the University. This is just another way of taking a jab at the program. Of course, the faculty is very "politically" correct so I am sure that the circumstances around this instance has really gotten their attention!

I'm really glad that Bennett supports Willis, but I'm very disappointed in SMU administration and faculty.

I have not seen the video yet, but I am about to watch the recast. So hopefully this is true. If this is correct, do we think there will be any backlash on PB for standing up for his QB and calling out the school?

PB does not actually call out the school. But watch the re cast for yourself. was at the end of the newscast in sports.

Most faculty members are superior people in everyway. However, when a member can put a "fag-flag" on his office door and claim that every Bush supporter is homophobic, when a professor personnally dresses down a student for placing a letter expressing his opinion in the school newspaper, by sending a personal e-mail to him and accusing him of being naive and "stupid", you have got to wonder. There are those faculty members that simply get their kicks berating 18-19 year olds--There are some real jerks in the mix. SMU's faculty has just as many faults as the US Congress, they should own up to it and get their own house in order and some of their own departments which many to date, still don't measure up, before they pull a knee-jerk against all SMU athletes.
In this day and age, when most gifted college athletes are minorities, from economically disagvantaged backrounds, one has to wonder, just who is prejudiced.
This isn't the case with Justin or his family. I believe that this group has a real tiger by the tail this time. A good family, a full-time father and an alumni base largely supportive of him. If Phil Bennett is fully behind him then dispite all my complaining, I am 100% behind the coach and our player. I think it is time to beat this beast and put it back in the cage. They have had their way for 20 years, and it has to change. A few liberal faculty members are free to leave, "there are no hooks in their [deleted]!" and if they need our help I'm sure I can find a few friends to help them pack.

I just want to point out that I had a professor blatantly sexist against men. Being a white male in her class was challenging. I never though I'd be berated for claiming that "snow white" isn't a horrible influance on young girls, or that the cover of the phone book really isn't racist.
