How is Rogers, others?

I have been out of town and not able to follow this weeks developments. I understand that the Willis situation is still in the process. How are our injured players? How have practices been? Are we focused?

From what I saw on TV a week or so ago, we can beat Marshall.
Any information (other than Willis) is appreciated.

Rogers and Muse are both questionable. My uneducated guess is that they will be held out if at all possible, but may be forced into action pending other injuries should they occur. Hopefully we can squeak by without them and let them fully heal.

Marshall Not a Push Over

Marshall has played some tough games which accounts for their
poor won-lost record, but they are a dangerous team. They lost
to K-State, Tennessee, and W. Va.

If Muse & Rogers are in the game, I feel like we can win. Also -
If Martin is fully healthy we may win because the knock on Marshall is that they can't stop the run. If we can run - then I believe Slater will also
have time to connect on passes.

The coaches are preaching to the team about focusing for this game and going all out to win it. I believe the players will play hard and they have proven that they are tough and don't quit.

all those loses mentioned above were on the road as well . . . hopefully we can help continue the road woes for the marshall team . . .

Thanks. Good to hear that Rogers and Muse are not out for an extended period. And hopefully Martin will be 100% and the O-line will come alive.

Martin said Tuesday that he feels fine. He said he was no more sore Sunday than on any other Sunday, "except it hurts a little more when we don't win." He said he "needs to make some big plays" and said he's "due."

Like the guy's attitude.

are the rogers and muse injuries being overlooked because of willis-gate? or is the second string drop not that big?

No they are not. In a different thread it was posted that Muse will not play with a knee bruise and Rogers is doubtful to play.

Patrick Handy backs up Muse, and he is a large, large man. He's a sophomore but highly skilled and saw some time last year.

Troy Therien is Rogers' backup, and he's a senior. The fact that I can't remember hearing his named called much in the last few years makes me think that will be the side with the greater dropoff.

Wasn't Troy a juco transfer last year...so this is his second year on the team and backs up argueably our best player. He is quick off the end if I remember correctly. How did he do in the UTEP game when Rogers went down?

Stat wise, 2 asst. tackles for loss, one being a sack and a QB hurry. 8)
