Calling all Austin and SA PonyFans: Ride Needed

Starving artist filmmaker needs ride. Likes long walks on the Boulevard, and Mustang football.

My tweener car - a '94 accord - is in pretty sad shape. I've been avoiding taking it to the shop because I'm soon to by a car that I actually like. You all may recall that this time last year I was without a car because I sold it to finsih a film... that I am still working on, or not working on as is currently the case [sigh]... well anyhow, I'm not taking my car to the shop anytime soon. It's just got to last me until the end of the year. Josephine (the feature film) will be completed, and my next film will begin pre-production... and at that point I can buy a car I actually like.

So anybody driving up Saturday morning and returning Saturday night/Sunday? And, uh, might you have a seat open?

They'll give you a ride. Better get on it now though, it sounds slow.

Sorry, the first sentence is a link. I hate how they aren't underlined or anything.

Oh hell no. Took the Amtrak last year... thought it would be fun... a chance to get some writing done. While I did get some good writing done, met some interesting folks... mostly the retired type... 8 *freaking* hours on a train from Austin to Dallas/Dall to Austin will never be something I do again. Ever. I am not kdding about the time. It was absolutely brutal... now if they had a bar car... maybe.

But taking the train is very Bohemian...

Such the drama queen. You know you could have just said, "Can anyone give me a ride to the game this weekend?"

:P

I could have. Yes, but where's the fun in that... guilt them into it. Works every time.

I could also take my bike up..... but I think I might die before making it to Waco. So I'll just camp out at the Hornfans tailgate spot friday night, steal your car drive it up to Dallas, and have it back before your even out of the game. Preferably without dings dents and scratches... again, I'm so sorry I hit that deer. It just jumped out of nowhere, I swear.

Editorial note: I never hit a deer.

We need to get you a Vespa. I hear it's the latest craze among filmmakers. And you know, you can't successful unless you keep up with the trends.

There must be a lot of filmmakers at SMU. I swear I saw a Vespa biker gang riding on Dyer Street.
