Just thought I would give her a mention since she did a great job of having something new for us to read every morning we open the paper. Nice to have someone who actually wants to write about SMU.

We need a standardized nickname for her.
Options:
Katie the Greek (a la Jimmy the Greek)
Kate Papadapolous (for those that used to watch Webster with Emanuel Lewis)
The Greek Tragedy
My Big Fat Greek Beatwriter (I have no idea, she might be 5'1", 85 pounds)

I believe that option 4 is probably the most accurate.

SMU did a good job of giving her something to write about for the last week.....

Actually as some very astute observer has documented elsewhere on this board, the current streak of SMU coverage in the Dallas Morning News goes back much further than since little Aphrodite has been on the beat.

I think we know what my choice is, but for those who may not:
The Greek Tragedy.
To be sure, it is a last name that presents a lot of possibilities.

Why? I have never figured out how that one fits.... it just seems mean spirited.

I agree with ThadFilms. Our new beat writer has been great. Timely updates on the DMN Blog, a fair number of stories in the paper, and good reporting. Keep up the good work, Kate.

Isn't Kate Papa-Georgio just Nick's older sister?
