Let's make Ford Stadium look good on national t.v. - Help pack the house by getting your tickets and ARRIVING EARLY to the game. Click here to purchase your tickets online or call the ticket office at 214-SMU-GAME. Let's pack Ford Stadium!!

National Television Audience
The game will kick-off on Tuesday, Oct. 31 at 6:30 p.m. and will be broadcast nationally on ESPN2.

Halloween Trick or Treating
The "Ultimate Trick-Or-Treating Experience" gets underway at 5:00 p.m. Departments across campus will be setup around the concourse of the stadium with their own trick-or-treat and haunted house stations.

Costum Parade
All children in constumes will be invited to participate in an on-field parade. For more information call the marketing office at 214-768-4053.

Student Spirit Competition
All SMU students are encouraged to show their spirit for the nationa television audience (ESPN2) by dressing up for Halloween and making signs. The most spirited students who participate and come to the game early will have the opportunity to receive prizes throughout the night.

Halloween Halftime Show
A "can't miss" halftime show will be performed by the Best Dressed Band in the Land - the Mustang Band. You will not want to miss this!

Kids' Corral
Bounce houses, coloring stations, and more. Kids, make sure to take part in the Kids' Corral - located at the south end of Ford Stadium.

Let's make Ford Stadium look good on national t.v. - Help pack the house by getting your tickets and ARRIVING EARLY* to the game.

*But not TOO early, and please stay off the blvd.

I already looked at that on smumustangs.com. I was just wondering...

Where's the Boo-levard?
Where's the family discount tickets?
What here is actually going to put people in the seats?

I like some of the ideas, but I don't think they are really going to encourage people to come out.

I think they are using more of the "NATIONAL" TV aspect to get butts in the seats.

Which is a good idea to keep saying and posting "NATIONAL" TV and ESPN2 but its not a great idea.

It actually will hurt our attendance, not help.

I know that I was having trouble encouraging my wife to let us take the kiddo to Ford for his first halloween, but once she found out it was on national TV, my butt will be at home handing out candy .

Sorry to hear that Jason. Just tell her that SMU is doing a great promotion for the kids and that it will be a terrific family outting.

You are right about the National TV aspect.

WHY go to the game when you can sit in your dorm room, house, or apartment and watch the game while taking in some heavy drinking???

I hate to be so negative on this topic, but I'm afraid handing out 20,000 free tickets and inviting kids and families from all over the area for a night of pre-game trick or treating on the Boo-levard would not help fill Ford Stadium (my guess is that maybe 5-10% of those freebies would actually come out). Let's just hope the students show up in record numbers and our 7500 faithful make it out so we can have at least 10,000 there

I think it is a great idea because if they are going to have a halftime where kids can be on National TV on the field, alot of kids will want to do it and that will keep parents, kids at the game at least until half time.
