Well they rank us #90 compared to ECU being #79...so stand to reason that they would pick ECU to beat us.
Let's take it to them ponies!!!
****OOPS CFN has us ranked as above***

That preview says Sledge "could be suspended and is questionable." Pretty sure Coach Bennett hasn't said that yet.
That story also lists Muse, Rogers, Henderson and Martin as questionable. I'll print it out and take it to Coach Bennett at the media lunch, so he can be updated on the status of his own players.
Then again, he did say that Therien, Handy and Griffin "stepped up beautifully" in place of Muse and Rogers. How nice of him.
Note to Haywood and the boys: ECU homer admits "incosistent line play." Tear 'em up.
Apparently he reads stat sheets. James "Mapp" is listed as SMU's leading rusher, so he doesn't read stat sheets that well.
ECU opponents have gone for it on fourth down 10 times, and converted all 10 into first downs. Therein lies the key to the game!
And the writer's name is "Bubba." What else needs to be said?

I realize that piece was written by the ECU correspondent but does he even watch college football?
He talks about the offensive advantage ECU has with its receivers including Jamar Bryant and Bobby Good. Interesting since in the injury report he mentions Good and Bryant is out and the other Allison is questionable at best.
Oh and ECU's defense is improving game by game though maybe a slight step back in teh 2nd half of the Tulsa game. ECU gave up 160 yards in the 2nd half...that is more than a slight step back!
He seems to think that despite SMU just holding the CUSA #1 running team to 60 yards under their average, that ECU will be able to run for 125 to 150 yards???

These previews are such garbage. No offense to CUSA-FANS... but I know more about this ECU team than their correspondent does. No mention of their QB's shoulder injury still hampering him? How about neglecting to mention that our only loss in the past 5 games was when we were without our red hot QB.. #10 in the nation in pass efficiency? Give me comprehensive stats?
It's an incomplete preview as far as I'm concerned and gives me no new information.

With all due respect, that sounds like a dig at this purported web-journalist. Just curious--how do you distinguish what you do from being homerism?

Yea, he obviously didn't research much into the SMU side of this game, especially his unfounded player reports and things. He prolly still thinks Willis is suspended (Bodog does).

Reading his preview really made me laugh out loud. Their QB has a sore throwing elbow, their starting RB is questionable, they have 2 WRs out and their best might not play, they are missing a starting DE and have 502 people probable for the game. LAUGH.
Their O-Line is HUGE but they are a joke. We will be in the backfield all day. I think we pass all over their a**es and enjoy the weekend once again.
