The issue F&%^-face is whether or not they have a right to an opinion, which you don't think they have a right to.

Does being a parent of a former player and being a former player as well count?

No the discussion involved long term solutions to SMU's historical underperformance in Football. That's the context I made that comment-or were you taking my point out of context-I thought you were.. Hey I applaud parents of SMU Fans that stay involved but the vast majority do not.

If you haven't noticed, the vast majority of SMU-anything do not stay involved.

I have a son who played for five years, and another who I hope gets the chance to do so. I had never visited SMU before my son's official visit, and now I will remain a PonyFan for the rest of my life, whether my younger son gets to play there or not.

And we appreciate you. Thank you, and all the best for your children.

I raised two former SMU student-athletes, and they follow their school's athletic teams as closely through this site as their mother and I do.

Don't you mean parents of SMU players?
And while we're on the subject, do you applaud fans of SMU who went to other schools who have also stayed involved?

Yes, but only if they went to Div-1 schools.
But never fear, MrMustang3.14159, I also applaud ponyfans who pat themselves on the back for staying involved.

I'm sure Stallion appreciates that.
