This board has a lot of gripers. This is FOR SMU not to be used as a place to verbally beat someone up.

I read most posts and they read like two 14 year old girls trash talking each other. Try to focus and being civil.

We love SMU but guys, and girls, argue with someone you love, not total strangers.

Bus, you've got to look at this stuff with a sense of humor or you will drive yourself nuts. The people on this board, bitchers and sunshiners alike, are joined at the hip by SMU sports, so the "total strangers" analogy does not work for me. Besides, arguing is fun. But you can do it without calling the next guy a F%&#head every time out.

To paraphrase the immortal words of Nick Carlton (William Hurt) in the Big Chill, "We're just trying to keep the conversation lively, you F%&#head...."

The reason I posted this is becuase I have met many people at practice and on the Boulevard that do not even log on anymore.

The negativity and ill will is rampant.

I am tring to make a point that the personal attacks and a combativeness detracts form the good this board can do.

Nobody enjoys hanging out w/ Oscar the Grouch except Big Bird, and even he has the presence of mind to back off and leave grumpy to his garbage can.

Bus, your comments make a lot of sense. This is not a board for just those of us with thicker skins and who enjoy a good row daily. We don't have to agree, especially with the Big11 nonsense that Big10Ponyfan puts up, but you are right. I generally do not stay in a conversation where I am being beat up constantly. I imagine that most people feel that way. Sux that they bailed on the site.

You haven't met that many at practice. There's not very many that go to practice OR the games. See ya.
