She has picked us to beat ECU.
Hope we don't let her down.

Kate is the only one to pick us. I guess we'll have to prove everyone else wrong.

Based on what's been going on around here the last few weeks, she's had no choice but to pay attention. But now, it could be for the best reasons.

I admit, I believe, too. I read Coach Bennett's quotes about how Justin Willis has "it" -- whatever "it" is -- and I agree. He doesn't run a 4.2 or throw it 80 yards, but he's a smart guy who makes plays. This three-TDs-per-game pace he's on is absurd .... but I'll take it.

Kate's picks

Postby Boston Pony » Fri Oct 20, 2006 3:53 pm

If you look at the bottom of the page, she is one of two of the writers that are above 500 on selections... the rest are losers.

Did she pick us straight up or against the line?

If she picked us straight, we'd have to beat the line :)

I spot a trend...all the women like us to cover. Women's intuition? My office bet is straight up - Ponies find a way to win this one.

Great. Now we are reduced to hoping that a woman’s intuition is correct. I believe we have the studs to beat any...anyone on our schedule. Manpower, not woman’s intuition will win for us on Sat.

Ahhh :x ... I should've posted this here...sorry:

Somehow, I have this image of Kate H. as this 24-year-old, intern-once-removed, blondie who really, really, really wanted this chance to prove that she can write about sports. Don't get me wrong, I like the coverage she's giving SMU, but...I don't know. She's like that one chick who you let join your fantasy football league b/c you need another team and b/c she knows who Peyton Manning is, and she (beginner's luck) somehow manages to win the pot.
