The New Bern Sun Journal says DeMyron Martin and Cedrick Dorsey are slated to start in the backfield. Didn't Coach Bennett say Martin was on the shelf again this week?

I swore I read in the DMN earlier this week that Martin wouldn't play this week?

That's what I heard. I think the New Bern rube is mistaken.

Just read the DMN preview and they still say Martin won't play.

SMU rushing game vs. ECU defense: Without RB DeMyron Martin (hamstring), the Mustangs will continue to run by committee. They need to establish the run to open up the pass. ECU gives up 164.3 yards per game in the air but is vulnerable against the run (193.7 ypg, 110th in Division I-A).

How many yards are we averaging on the ground so far this year?

Whatever it is, I would like to see us increase that average today. We need a more dependable running game to help chew up the clock and give our defense more rest. That could only help our secondary.

Sure hope that's the case. Big #8 is due, don't you think?
Can't think of a better time to break out than UAB. Put up a big game on national TV, DeMyron.

If Martin is coming back I hope is can cover a crossing pattern or a deep out.
