I was channel surfing on the FM dial tonight. But I heard the tail end for SMU advertising for tickets to an upcoming event -- not sure if it was football (I would think it was) or basketball. They gave the 214-SMU-GAME number.

This is the first time I have heard us doing this in quite some time. Anyone know any different. I guess this is what they call marketing.

There's been an ad on KERA (90.1) for the game Tuesday night.

NPR also had repeated ads for the Marshall game as the bumper for traffic and weather reports the week before the game.

I've heard them on ESPN radio, too - just little liner ads by Kelly Webster, who reads the in-show SportsCenters updates.
