Did anyone else think it was kind of funny that in the article in today's Dallas Morning News "Upcoming game big for SMU" that there is a quote from Bennett himself as saying that SMU pays its players?

"This is where the money is made," Bennett said.

I would think that the recruiting has to start picking up sooner or later if he's going around telling folks that SMU is where the money is made. :D

We need people in the stadium. Go East young man and find your seat.

Bus, I never received a email from the athletic department, suggesting sitting on the east side.

OK, Stop the mean stuff. That is for game day and to be focussed upon the other team.

Problem, yes there is one.

Solution, at least for the short term, sit on the east side.

Long term, take transfer hours, bring back Physical Education major, Start Sports Management degree, Get 3 new people on Faculty Senate.

I can not control those things but I can encourage people to put their best foot forward for a nationally televised game.

" brother in the bond" ??????
Be Nice.

Do you want me to link to the threads in the other teams' message boards, where they were saying the same thing? I can start with the thread on killerfrogs.com before the louisville-TCU game on ESPN on November 4, 2003. How about the thread before the Marshall-UCF game a few weeks ago?

Come on Bus, it's much easier to bit## and complain, but never do anything about it!

We should all just sit in the south endzone grass area. People will see that and think "Wow it must be packed! Even the overflow seating is full."

FnC - I'm pretty sure he was refering to himself/the coaching staff/the University. But I'm guessing you knew that...

I found a few places where you can order cardboard people standups...YAY!!! We can order a few thousand of these and intersperse them around the stadium in different positions. Of course custom people cutouts are more expensive than those in stock. Here are a few:

I like the West-that's our team's own side-not interested in hiding any of SMU's self-inflicted problems. They'll have to rope the West off for me to move.

SMU needs to start marketing itself better. Show the positive.

What came first, the Toyota of today or the marketing of the 1960's.

Growth and success start TODAY for SMU. Jump on the east bound wagon.
