BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The UAB men's soccer team stunned top-ranked and previously unbeaten SMU, 2-1, here Wednesday evening on senior night. Senior Lukasz Kwapisz and sophomore Trey Gregory each tallied goals in the UAB victory, which marked the fourth ranked team the Blazers have beaten this season.

NO ONE and i mean NO ONE beats our #1 ranked team and gets away with it.

Come OCT 31, UAB wont know what hit them.

That's the spirit. They've taken something from SMU. Now let's go take it back Tuesday at Ford Stadium.

Two ties, and a loss in less than two weeks. I guess I jinxed them when I bought a soccer shirt.

I thought you were going for the Rudy speech.

Yes, someone along the line I was trying to use the Rudy speech.

"No one and i mean NO ONE comes into our house and pushes us around!"

SMU lost its top 2 scorers to injuries about 3-4 games ago and unless
someone picks up the slack we are in trouble. Does anyone no if
either will be back before the tournament starts?

Paulo da Silva is expected back, I believe.
Not sure about Adrian Chevannes.

2755 in atendance? That's as good a turnout as I've seen anywhere this year. They appear to draw better for european futball at UAB than they do for american football. And, we were held to only 5 shots on goal? Ouch!
Hopefully this is only the mid-season slump
