Why classes should have been canceled today

Nevada was annexed because of the rich silver deposits the state offered. The north used those natural resources to help defeat it the south in the Civil War.
The moral of the story of that war is: It's not how you start. It's how you finish.
As someone who lived in Las Vegas for 17 years and was a student at SMU from 1987-91, even if it was a day of class, I took it off.
