Observations From The Game And Being On The Field
Posted: Tue Oct 31, 2006 11:16 pmI just returned from the UAB game. I took E. J. Jr. in his costume and he had a great time. Before the game kids in costume were let on to the field. Naturally I had to accompany him. It was very exciting to be down there for the Star Spangled Banner and Varsity. It was fun cheering the players on to the field. I want to applaud Justin Willis, he took the time to high five or shake each kid's hand. None of the other players did. I did not expect them to, but it would have been nice.
The one negative is the sound system. The invocation was a mumbled mess. You hear a voice over the West speakers, then the same thing over the East speakers then an echo, then another echo.......
