I'm depending on those of you in Big D to keep me updated here in Houston on signing day by posting on www.ponyfans.com! I know that we've already got verbal commitments from several ...but I am waiting for the 'final word' and the ink to dry!

Fear not, Mr.Mustang, we'll have very extensive coverage of signing day, all of which should be up sometime that evening (Wednesday, Feb. 5). Thanks for your support, and please let all you SMU-related friends and family know about out site.

Norm Hitzges on the Ticket always has a lot of coaches on his show on signing day. Does anybody know if he'll have Bennett on?

He had Coach Bennett on every week during the season, so I imagine he'll have him on at some point. Coach Bennett undoubtedly will be on the Ticket at some point tomorrow, but likely will be busy during Norm's show. I bet he's on in the afternoon or the evening, and probably will visit with Norm soon thereafter, when the smoke has cleared and the celebrating has subsided!

Mustangs35SMU: Any of those fightin' Longview Lobos heading towards SMU? You know there's an SMU Mustang that lives there in Longview...Keith Bobo. Was a QB back in the 60s or early 70s. Keep an eye out for him. Nice guy.

I don't think I can wait until tomorrow for signing day. Forgive me for getting excited, skeptics, but this can't be called anything other than the best class in years. I can't wait until it's official.

I know for a fact that Zach Hall and Lucky Delay signed the papers and faxed them off this morning. I know because I was there to see it. I'm Zach's younger brother.

I believe his brother already is 6-4, 260.
And he's only in the 10th grade.

Sounds like we need to reserve a jersey for "little" Hall.
StangStud05: That way we'd have two Halls on the roster, which would force Zach to get "Z. Hall" on the back of his jersey.

Stud05 - can you confirm those numbers?
6-4, 260, 10th grade?
Position(s)?
Give us the inside scoop - are you going to follow your brother to SMU? We're all hoping so!
And feel free to throw out a little smack-talking about how you can now beat up your big brother. I'm sure he'll love to see that!

I'm so proud of Coach Bennett for reeling in such a great recruiting class!
Too bad they're gonna look like hell in the new uniforms.
