great exposure for our program. After watching the game, those highlights do us much better in recruiting than the game itself..

I was hoping to see the crushing shot we put on their QB in the third quarter on their final field goal drive. Bonds or Haywood very nearly killed that poor kid

Help me. Was that his Thriller dance move on the sideline late in the first half? I think it was before UAB kicked their FG to make it 7-6.

That was Bonds who nearly planted that QB -- head-first -- in the turf. It did make the "tease" of what was going to be shown on SportsCenter, but then got edited out, I guess.

I'm with you, I have no idea how Williams got up. Bonds damn-near killed him.

Yeah right before that receiver went out of bounds and back in to make the catch on the sideline to set up the second FG...horsepucky of a review on that one but what can you do...we won

That was a legal play in college. All you need to do is to be reestablished on the field of play, and he was. Not allowed in pro.

The question that was never explained was how do you reestablish, with one of two feet.

Believe you have to reestablish with two..which is what I found to be wrong with the play...don't think he ever got both feet back in bounds before catching the ball

Yes, he clearly had both feet in before the catch, and the announcers noted it.

I think I heard them say there was no 2 feet rule but rather the body had to be established in bounds. He did step in with one foot and the 2nd step was right at the time of the catch. I would find it hard to argue with the call. I would have argued harder for a Rogers recovery of the fumble by the UAB QB. That was a lot closer thatn anyone seemed to care about checking.

The 2nd foot was clearly not on the ground when he caught the ball actually. Watched it again on the DVR this morning. Flutie was right.

I think what Flutie was doing a very poor job of expressing was if the same foot could count for establishing reentry to the field of play AND being inbounds for the catch... wow - yea, mine sucks too.

Ummm - if you're saying both feet need to be inbounds before the catch and then you need one foot inbounds after the catch - were they using one foot twice... nope, not there either...
