Ford, Boulevard and Bennett. Couldn't believe my ears. Rhiner even went to the game last night "so he could get out of Halloween Duty". Corby, Rhiner, Grego and "[deleted] Hicks" were effusive in their praise of each subject to the point of rah!rah!. They only negativity was for thier board opterator who is an SMU student and hasn't gone to a game all year. The best 5 minutes of SMU promotion in Dallas this decade.

This was the same Rhyner who called Cavan, The Georgia State Trooper and then said we should just give it up for football.
Unbelievable.

Listening to the recap last night, there were three possible Homer calls from the fourth quarter. I think the best one was for Hawkins' interception and touchdown.

I caught the end of it. One of them said we had no chance against Tulsa, but another pointed out our win 2 years ago and the close game last year. Winning some sure is nice.

These are the same guys who when the feed was delayed on Tuesday night proceeded to disrespect SMU in every way imaginable. They have every right to be idiots on their own time, but not when you have angry SMU fans waiting for pregame on the Ticket only to be insulted repeatedly by these jerks.
Glad to hear they had some good things to say yesterday night.

Yeah, the ESPN game was great, there was even a blurb about it on my radio show down here in Austin. Nothing major, but the fact we are being mentioned is great.

I was surprised to hear the praise last night as well. I had stopped listening to the Hard line for a couple of years because I was so sick of hearing Rhyner say that SMU shoud "give it up". My wife, who is an frequent listener mentioned that they had softened their stance on the ponies, so I have tuned in a bit more lately. Great praise for the ponies.
They went on to say how great it would be if SMU started winning like Boise State or TCU of late and claimed that they would love to go to more games if that were the case because they were so close. SMU could be come a great story in DFW if we can continue to climb the hill.

Last night Corby was commenting on how his life was now so pathetic that he had to stay home and watch SMU on ESPN2 . . . then he preceded to bag on Craig James and the broadcasting crew from the game, which I had no problems with!
They were also pissed when they had to cut their broadcast day short on Tuesday because they game coverage was starting at 6pm... making it sound like such an inconvience to have to make way for lowly SMU. Damn "other school" fans!!! (they wear purple, I know it)

Seriously... if we can win guys like that over, then fantastic. I mean we already are on the ticket. If we keep winning I see no reason why the wouldn't start broadcasting live from the 'Vard on gamedays.
