From time-to-time there have been posters on this board who have said that alcohol should be served at Ford Stadium to increase attendance.
Last night there was plenty of beer being imbibed by those who were sitting in Sections 301 - 311. (We could see the bottles behind the windows from our seats in Section 205.)
Has this always been the practice?
If so, then those who want their alcohol during the games need to buy season tickets in those sections.

Club Level has a bar, suites have alcohol in them. They can serve alcohol because it is a "private club" where you pay for a membership above and beyond the ticket purchase.

I seriously doubt it could ever happen at a private Christian school.
President Turner would never go for it.

Solution - charge $1 surcharge to get a "Mark of Peruna" chip implanted in the forehead or hand, good for whole season, as membership in stadium "private club". Chip required to buy alcoholic goods. Long live Peruna, our Dark Lord.

Turner spearheaded the way for the Boulevard, including alcohol. Doubt if he'd stand in the way of stadium sales.

You would think that we could go the UNICARD route or add a nominal surcharge to every ticket purchased making every ticket owner a "member" of The Mustang Drinking Club or something stupid.

Kids sneak in bottles of jack, no big deal.
I could be wrong but I don't think you can have alcohol at NCAA games? The only place I have seen it was at the Superdome when we played Tulane a long time ago.

Well the "Private Christian School" supports insurance for domestic partners so alcohol would be so bad why?

I have heard that when it gets cold you can fit an entire six-pack in your coat and the yellow shirts wont stop you.

If you get caught, you might have to give them one.

The Yellow Jackets did not catch Duke Blue Blood and I with a large bottle of rum sticking out of one of his boots.
Isn't a major problem that Ford is in University Park which is a dry town?

Looks like I was VERY wrong -- A recent survey of 119 Division One schools found that 54 allowed the sale of alcohol either in public concessions or private suites.
