Open it Up ?

Like others have said, because of Tulsa's loss to Houston, we have a chance to at least share in a west division Conference USA Championship if we can win out. However, I do not think we can beat Houston next week if our Coaches don't try to open up the offense again like we did successfully against Arkansas St., Tulane, Marshall and the second half of the UTEP game. Houston has a very good offense. Sure Haywood and Co. are going to cause them problems but with our young secondary I'm concerned Houston will score their share of points. We can't just go out with only a short passing game, running the ball up the middle all the time or to the short side loaded with defenders on critical downs and expect to win like we did against UAB.... 15 offensive points won't cut it next Saturday. We have got to go deep and complete some passes, misdirection runs occasionally and maybe a trick play or two wouldn't hurt to open things up......Score Points.... Execute and Win....Go Mustangs !
