What the Big 10 and SMU have in common

Postby Big10Ponyfan » Sun Nov 05, 2006 2:06 pm

With Ohio State and Michigan each at 10-0 this season, this is the first time since 1935 a conference has had two teams with 10-0 records.

The previous time was when SMU and TCU were 10-0 71 years ago -- the year the Mustangs won their first national championship.

only because they played one more game in those seasons. Texas and Arkansas were unbeaten going into their Big Shootout in 1969. Weren't OU and Nebraska undefeated going into the 1971 game.
