PitPops Scheduled for The Blvd. on Nov. 18th!from the PitPops web site:
Saturday, November 18! The PitPops will be on the SMU campus for The Boulevard pre-game tailgate party prior to the SMU vs Tulsa game. We are being sponsored by PitPop fan, Coach Eddie Sinnott and the SMU Swim Team. We'll be playing on the steps of the Perkins Natatorium on Bishop Blvd.; the street down the middle of the campus, at Binkley, (across from the Fine Arts Center) in the center of all the "tailgating" tents. Bring the family. There is no charge on The Boulevard, and usually some food and drink vendors around, or bring your own picnic lunch and beverage of choice (in plastic cups, please) and join us from 11:00 AM until game time at 2:00 PM. There's a parade led by The Mustang Band, Cheerleaders, Pom Squad, Peruna (the Ponies mascot) and also concerts up and down The Boulevard by the SMU Alumni Band. We hope to have The Mustang Band and SMU Alumni Band join us for a little solo one-upmanship during a marathon rendition of "Mustang Sally". We did this last time we were there and these kids were great. Watch out for those "alumni old farts" with their horns though... They'll really blow your hats off... uh.. if you wear a hat.. I guess. (Check out these pictures on the PitPops website.) Anyway, it is a party when we get on campus, and The Boulevard is The place to be for game day fun. Come join us! http://www.pitpops.com
You better watch who you are calling Old Farts. You might be awakened at 3:00 am to Peruna playing over and over on your front lawn. I sure the neighbors would love you.
Just send 'da money.
I didn't say that. It's from an email sent out to The PitPops fan base. And frankly, I'd LOVE to have the band come play Peruna on my front lawn! Especially at 3 a.m. to wake up all the friggin' Longhorns & Aggie$ who live in my neighborhood!
We'll see.
Hmmm.... ![]()
Too bad raplh needs to look at lyrics on a screen to sing. I don't. ![]()
