The Goalposts at FordCan someone tell me which game prompted SMU officials to buy the automatic collapseable goal posts? Was it the TCU game or was it before that? Thanks, in advance.
I believe it was because of that game in 2004...when we beat San Jose State to snap the losing streak.
Of couse, it being SMU something bad had to happen that night and one of the college guys got sent to the hosiptal was the students tore down the goal posts. ![]()

Haake, 19. He was injured while fans pulled down the goalpost after SMU's win. According to reports, his skull was fractured, but he has no brain damage. David Haake, Garrett’s father, said his son is still in intensive care. “He’s improving, and he’s looking forward to coming back to school. He will be fine in time,†he said. Jim Caswell, the vice president of student affairs, said he and the rest of the university continue to be concerned about Haake’s health and well-being. "THE SMU BLVD - - NO PLACE ELSE" (retired)

What would be the definitive Rolling Stones song to define SMU football this season?
I say Wild Horses.
Thinking back on the NTSU game, I am torn between "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "[deleted]".
