Miami's Pata Shot To Death
University of Miami defensive tackle Bryan Pata was shot and killed Tuesday night at an apartment complex in Miami. Pata, a senior, is from Miami. Police had no other details.

This is a horrible tragedy. Bryan Pata was a hard worker and very well liked on the team and in the school.

I would have hoped the reaction would have been a little more than a dig at the program. This type of tragedy could happen anywhere, but really it just doesn't matter. Lets instead say a prayer for Bryan's mother and family.
