Rooting interests

Obviously, we want SMU to beat Houston.

UCF @ Memphis: Uhhhh, two teams SMU won't play that have bad records. Just for Orsini, lets root for UCF!

Southern Miss @ Tulane: Root for Tulane as So. Miss is 5-4.

UTEP @ UAB: Root for the home team UAB here. A UAB win means UTEP can do no better than 6-6.

Marshall @ East Carolina: Root for the Herd as So. Miss is 5-4.

Rice @ Tulsa: I can make a case either way. In theory, we want Tulsa to lose because of division lead implications, but a Rice loss means we don't really have to look over our shoulder

Blog, I'm just curious about your opinion on this--lay it on the line here--do you think SMU does better than 6-6 this year?

My honest opinion . . . yes.

I like to hear that. I pray your intuition is right.

He has been right so far, excepting NTSU - I think.

Good post here....these are all games in which you actually care about who wins, and you chose the right teams. Hopefully the football gods look down in our favor tomorrow and bring these victories.

UH
Rice
Memphis / UCF (who cares)
UTEP
Poohlane
Marshall

Then I will root for the ponies to beat Tulsa so that UH, Tulsa, SMU, and possibly Rice and Poohlane all get bowl bids from the west.

We need the bowl revenue for the conference.

the more the merrier . . . as long as SMU is one of them, I hope 8 CUSA teams get into bowls!
