THE CROWD

Postby FloridaMustang » Sat Nov 11, 2006 4:49 pm

This is the biggest crowd I've seen since Tech last year. Looks like we had a HUGE turnout.. better than we could have hoped for. Looks like about 22-25k.. I can't see the near side attendance obviously, but the end zone seating is pretty full too.

Amazing what a REAL crowd can do for the team's morale too. They are playing with INTENSITY.

I actually would have quessed slightly higher maybe 22,500. But hey Earth to SMU Ticket Office-OK we can't sell the 40 yard line seats to Students because of the CUSA rule-but that doesn't mean we can't sell them to SMU fans. 15 rows of empty seats on the 40? Incredible.

Are there any takers? Looked pretty sunny over there on my computer screen. When I was in school that was the worst part about attending the games (especially Kansas).

Sorry to rain on the predictions, but we went over to the east side to
warm up in the sun during the second half.

Looked a little more sparse on the west side. What season ticket holder
would miss a game like this :?: Maybe they all left after the
homecoming people were announced.

My guess is about 18k.

I was including the no-show season ticket holders in my estimate. You know I couldn't believe but there were significant numbers-not as big as usual but significant numbers that did leave at halftime. I guess it was a long day with Homecoming festivities and all-poor Babies.

first thing I noticed was the crowd tonight. I actually had to sit in my section 203 seat...unbelievable, usually I have my pick of the first few rows

I was sitting directly behind the empty rows trying to sneak forward with every changing of the guard...it was a perfect day to be on the sunny side of the stadium...well except you had to hear those Cougs talk crap all game
